We Are Not Your Dolls campaigns against the objectification of women in the media. It targets 18-24 year olds in an attempt to make them question the superficial society of today, and fight to be valued for more than just their appearance. Naomi Wolfe’s ‘The Beauty Myth’ discusses how women are controlled by images of how they should look, and that it is the final hurdle we have to tackle to overcome patriarchy. This campaign aims to encourage women to do that. Women are not objects. They are not dolls whose purpose is to fulfil for ornamental pleasure. It aims to tackle these ideals and promote respect for women. Products include a zine-style booklet, posters and three short animations.
