Epicene is a 50pp fashion magazine that blurs the lines between fashion and gender. Men and women do not have fashion freedom and are restricted by culturally constructed gender stereotypes and ideals. Wearing something that’s (apparently) not for your gender is not something that should be shunned by the mainstream. Epicene promotes freedom of choice when it comes to style. In a world where we are all supposed to be equals, anything should go. Many fashion magazines have explored the idea of androgyny, however it seems to be a gimmick. Epicene's purpose is to display gender neutral and androgynous fashions that are accessible and wearable, unlike many unrealistic representations on the catwalk.
